Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join Hidden Pines Animal Sanctuary. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong understanding of animal needs and farm operations. This position involves a variety of tasks that support the daily functions of our farm, ensuring the health and welfare of livestock and the maintenance of farm equipment and land. Hours we are looking for is Thursday - Monday 8- 4 pm. This is a MUST. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health. Assist with the operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment, including tractors and forklifts. Perform routine repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools for various tasks, including fencing, building maintenance, and crop management. Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently as needed for various farming operations. Participate in planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops in greenhouses or fields. Maintain cleanliness and organization in barns, stables, and other farm facilities. Keep accurate records related to animal care, crop yields, and equipment maintenance. Qualifications Experience or knowledge in animal husbandry is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Skills in equipment repair are advantageous for maintaining farm machinery. Basic math skills are necessary for record keeping and inventory management. Experience with equine care is desirable but not mandatory. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively. Forklift certification is beneficial but can be obtained after hiring if necessary. A strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
