Responsibilities Collect eggs from nest boxes and assist with egg handling procedures Feed birds and monitor their well-being Count birds and separate them by sex into designated pens as needed Monitor flock comfort and proactively address potential stressors Administer vaccinations to birds according to veterinarian protocols Assist with loading and unloading birds onto trailers Maintain nest boxes, including cleaning and replenishing wood shavings Keep fans clear of dust and feathers to ensure proper ventilation Participate in cleaning, pressure washing, and disinfecting houses and nest boxes Maintain the grounds by removing trash, controlling weeds and grass, and clearing snow when necessary Follow all biosecurity and animal welfare policies Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety procedures Report any animal welfare concerns to management promptly Maintain regular and punctual attendance Comply with all company policies and procedures Qualifications Safety-minded Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others Basic math skills and ability to maintain accurate records Comfort working in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and adherence to work schedules Ability to walk and stand for extended periods Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as required Ability to use hands for simple and firm grasping Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 80 pounds with assistance Willingness to work in environments with potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and loud noise Offered compensation: $13/yr
