This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a hands-on environment, contributing to the growth and maintenance of farm infrastructure, livestock care, and equipment management. This paid position is perfect for those passionate about farming, construction, and animal husbandry. Responsibilities Assist with daily farm activities including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and horticulture tasks to promote healthy crop growth. Support livestock management by caring for animals such as cattle, horses, or other farm animals, ensuring their well-being through proper handling and feeding practices. Operate heavy machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other farm equipment safely and efficiently to support planting, harvesting, and construction tasks. Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on farm machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge. Assist with construction projects including building fences, barns, greenhouses or other structures using manual handling skills and safety standards in production. Support irrigation systems setup and maintenance to ensure optimal water distribution across fields or greenhouse areas. Follow safety protocols diligently during all activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards. Qualifications Proven experience in farming or agriculture-related roles with hands-on knowledge of farm machinery operation and animal husbandry. Supervising experience or ability to oversee team tasks effectively when required. Skilled in operating forklifts, agricultural tractors, heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and performing equipment repair or maintenance. Knowledge of welding techniques and agricultural machinery repair is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely in outdoor environments. Understanding of safety standards related to outdoor work sites and farm operations; experience with irrigation systems or greenhouse management is a plus.
