Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic landscaping and irrigation management team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems across various properties. Your expertise will help ensure optimal water efficiency, healthy landscapes, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on new irrigation system installation projects, perform routine irrigation maintenance, and contribute to sustainable landscaping practices. Responsibilities Install new irrigation systems, including piping, controllers, sprinkler heads, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, and excavation machinery such as excavators. Conduct regular irrigation system maintenance to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot system issues by diagnosing electrical faults, mechanical failures, or soil-related problems using electrical diagnostics and system troubleshooting techniques. Repair or replace damaged irrigation equipment and components promptly to minimize downtime. Perform system upgrades and modifications to optimize irrigation management and incorporate automated control systems for water conservation. Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into landscape maintenance and lawn care projects. Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance procedures, and addressing client concerns professionally. Experience Proven experience with irrigation management, including installation projects and ongoing maintenance of irrigation systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of irrigation equipment, valves, controllers, and related hardware. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics related to automated irrigation control systems. Hands-on experience with excavation work using excavators or other heavy machinery for trenching or system installation. Knowledge of soil science and horticulture principles relevant to efficient irrigation practices. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively. Previous work in landscaping or landscape maintenance environments is preferred but not mandatory.
