Responsibilities Assist with daily animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, watering, and caring for livestock such as horses, cattle, and poultry Operate farm machinery and equipment safely, including tractors, forklifts, irrigation systems, and power tools Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and equipment using mechanical knowledge, welding skills, and basic troubleshooting Support planting, harvesting, greenhouse management, and crop cultivation activities with manual handling and growing experience Manage livestock handling with attention to safety standards in production and animal welfare best practices Maintain cleanliness and organization of barns, greenhouses, storage areas, and workspaces Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, manual handling, and operation of heavy equipment to ensure a safe working environment Qualifications Proven experience in farming or agricultural settings with hands-on knowledge of farm operations Supervising experience or ability to oversee team tasks when needed Skilled in operating agricultural tractors, farm machinery, forklifts, and power tools safely Strong animal care background with livestock management and animal husbandry expertise Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance; welding skills are a plus Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, greenhouse management, and outdoor work environments Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while adhering to safety standards in production Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping; experience with maintenance repair operations (MRO) is advantageous This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to sustainable farming efforts while developing their skills across various aspects of agriculture.
