Semi-Monthly Job Description Tennessee State University Institute of Agricultural & Environmental Research Program (IAgER) invites applications for Farm Worker position. This worker will join our research farm staff and be assigned to the research farm located on the TSU main campus in Nashville. Previous experience in a farm or agricultural environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with operating agricultural machinery and equipment is an asset. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and practices. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules. Minimum Qualifications Successful completion of the eighth grade . Additional education or training in agriculture or related fields is preferred. Valid Tennessee Drivers License required . Experience in the operation of above-mentioned equipment (ref., description, duties, and responsibilities). Ability to carry out simple instructions; ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods under some unfavorable climactic conditions. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees.
