Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Irrigation Technician to oversee and coordinate all aspects of irrigation systems within our landscaping and horticultural projects. In this vital role, you will lead a team responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of irrigation systems across diverse landscapes. Your expertise will ensure optimal water efficiency, system performance, and customer satisfaction. Duties Lead and supervise the installation of new irrigation systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards. Oversee routine irrigation maintenance, system repairs, and troubleshooting to maximize efficiency and longevity of equipment. Conduct electrical diagnostics on automated irrigation control systems to identify faults and implement effective solutions. Coordinate excavation activities for underground piping and sprinkler installation, ensuring safety and precision. Manage irrigation system upgrades and modifications to improve landscape health and water conservation efforts. Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation with overall landscape design and horticultural goals. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system operations, maintenance procedures, and addressing client concerns professionally. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance. Strong understanding of automated irrigation control systems and electrical diagnostics related to irrigation equipment. Experience managing new irrigation system installation projects from start to finish. Skilled in excavation techniques using power tools and hand tools for underground piping work. Knowledge of soil science, horticulture, landscaping principles, and lawn care practices. Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues efficiently and implement effective repair solutions. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to client communication. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with irrigation management software, experience in irrigation equipment selection, soil science principles related to watering needs, and certification in landscape or horticultural specialties.
