Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of livestock, operating heavy and farm machinery, and ensuring the overall upkeep of the ranch facilities. Your hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude will contribute to a safe, efficient, and thriving farm environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your skills in animal husbandry and equipment maintenance, and be an integral part of a passionate agricultural operation. Responsibilities Care for and manage livestock including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring to promote animal well-being. Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently for planting, harvesting, or transportation tasks. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on farm equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance. Assist with fencing, irrigation systems, greenhouse operations, and general farm infrastructure upkeep. Handle manual tasks including lifting heavy loads, installing equipment with hand tools, and mechanical repairs as needed. Follow strict safety standards in all production activities to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and team members. Skills Proven experience in farm work or ranching environments with a strong understanding of agriculture practices. Skilled in operating power tools, hand tools, heavy machinery (including agricultural tractors). Knowledge of animal husbandry techniques for livestock management including equine care and general animal handling skills. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy objects or performing outdoor labor for extended periods..
