Specialized Ranch Hand (Farming-Land Management)

Specialized Ranch Hand (Farming and Land Management) We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and motivated Specialized Ranch Hand to support daily ranch operations with a strong focus on farming activities, land maintenance, and equipment operation. This position is well suited for an individual with hands-on agricultural experience who takes pride in maintaining productive land, safely operating machinery, and contributing to the success of a working ranch.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform field preparation activities, including plowing, tilling, planting, and soil conditioning Assist with crop establishment and ongoing maintenance, including irrigation setup, operation, and monitoring Clear land of brush, debris, and obstacles to maintain and expand usable acreage Maintain and improve ranch trails, roads, and access routes to ensure safe and efficient travel Operate and maintain farm and ranch equipment, including tractors, plows, mowers, and utility vehicles Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs on equipment and ranch tools Monitor land conditions and report concerns such as erosion, drainage issues, or pest activity Support seasonal projects and assist with general ranch operations as needed

Qualifications:

Prior experience in farming, ranching, or agricultural operations preferred Proven ability to operate agricultural machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Strong working knowledge of land management and maintenance practices Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage tasks effectively Physically capable of performing strenuous outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Preferred Skills:

Experience with irrigation systems and water management Knowledge of soil health, crop cycles, and seasonal farming practices Trail construction, land clearing, or site preparation experience Welding, fabrication, or small - engine repair skills
