Job Title Farm Hand / Agricultural Worker Job Summary The Farm Hand / Agricultural Worker is responsible for supporting daily farm operations, including planting, cultivating, irrigating, harvesting, equipment operation, livestock care (if applicable), and general farm maintenance. This position requires the safe operation and maintenance of agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, and farm facilities to ensure efficient agricultural production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate tractors, farm vehicles, and agricultural equipment safely and efficiently.

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tractors, implements, machinery, and farm equipment.

Conduct pre-operation inspections and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.

Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, pumps, sprinklers, drip irrigation, and related components.

Assist with planting, cultivating, fertilizing, and harvesting crops.

Load, unload, transport, and store agricultural products, equipment, and supplies.

Maintain farm buildings, fences, gates, storage facilities, and grounds.

Monitor crop health and report pest, disease, irrigation, or production issues.

Follow all farm safety procedures and applicable agricultural regulations.

Keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean and organized.

Assist with livestock feeding, watering, and care, if applicable.

Operate trucks, trailers, and utility vehicles as needed.

Work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Experience operating tractors and agricultural equipment.

Knowledge of routine equipment maintenance and mechanical repairs.

Experience repairing and maintaining agricultural irrigation systems.

Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Basic knowledge of agricultural practices and farm operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Safe operation of tractors, loaders, mowers, tillage equipment, and other farm machinery.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Understanding of irrigation systems and water management practices.

Ability to identify equipment maintenance needs and perform preventive maintenance.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, dusty, and varying weather conditions.

Ability to operate machinery and equipment for extended periods.

Ability to perform repetitive physical labor safely.
