Livestock Worker
Location:
1527 Bell St., San Angelo, TX
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus one weekend per month Job Summary James Jones Livestock LLC is seeking hardworking and dependable individuals to join our livestock operations team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong work ethic, and is interested in learning the livestock industry. Previous livestock experience is helpful but not required, as training will be provided. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work directly with sheep and goats in a livestock handling environment.
Load and unload livestock trucks safely and efficiently.
Sort, move, and feed animals according to established procedures.
Clean and maintain pens, feeders, and water troughs.
Assist with general ranch, facility, and equipment maintenance.
Monitor livestock and report any concerns to supervisors.
Follow all safety procedures and animal handling guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Dependable, energetic, and self-motivated.
Ability to perform physically demanding work.
Livestock experience preferred but not required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Ability to work around livestock in outdoor environments.
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
