We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic landscape maintenance team with a valid drivers license . In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure lush, healthy landscapes by optimizing water efficiency and system performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in irrigation management, soil science, and landscape care while contributing to sustainable outdoor environments. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, controllers, valves, and pumps using hand tools and power tools. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation equipment to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform timely repairs to prevent water waste. Adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, soil moisture levels, and plant requirements to promote healthy growth. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to coordinate irrigation needs with lawn care and landscaping projects. Utilize electrical diagnostics skills to troubleshoot control panels and electrical components of irrigation systems. Maintain detailed records of system inspections, repairs, and adjustments for operational efficiency and compliance. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators when necessary for system installation or major repairs in construction or horticultural projects. Experience Proven experience working with irrigation systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge of plumbing, piping, pumps, valves, and electrical components related to irrigation equipment. Familiarity with soil science principles to optimize watering schedules based on soil conditions. Construction experience or familiarity with landscaping projects involving land grading or excavation is preferred. Knowledge of horticulture practices related to lawn care and landscape maintenance enhances system effectiveness. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Prior experience in landscape or outdoor construction projects is advantageous for understanding site-specific requirements.
