A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

I am looking for candidates for immediate hire who have experience with horses and are competent in professional horse handling skills. Must be able to positively interact with clients and other employees. This position is for four weekday morning shifts a week and one weekend shift at minimum. I do have a waiting list for interest persons who do not have horse experience. If you would like to interviewed to be added to that list, please let me know. We will train you for the position as openings become available. We clear and restart that list every 3 months. We have 4.5 hour morning shifts and 3 hour evening shifts available. This is a perfect part time job for those in school or looking for occasional work hours.
MUST HAVE
Valid Drivers License Clean Criminal History
PHYSICALLY ABLE
to work outdoors, on your feet at the pace of your co-workers.
FARM STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must have a professional attitude and works well with clients and other employees. - Must work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work 25 hours a week.
  • Must be able to work 3 Weekend Days a month.
  • Must be able to work 8+ hours on your feet.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds. (Feed Bag, Hay Bails etc.)
  • Must be able to work some Holidays.
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather.
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check.
  • Must be able to pass a Drug Screening.
  • Must have and maintain a Valid Drivers License.
  • Must be on time and reliable.
  • Bring In and Turn Out horses for the AM/PM shifts.
  • Medicate and feed horses.
  • Placing Hay Flakes in each stall.
  • Cleaning and filling Water Buckets in the stalls.
  • Preparing Feed and Medication for the oncoming shift..
  • Clean or Strip all Stalls Daily.
  • Add Saw Dust to Stalls Daily.
  • Sweep Feed Room, Tack Room, and Wash Stalls.
  • Stocking Hay in each barns Feed Rooms.
  • Cleaning and filling Water Troughs in the fields.
  • Stacking Hay in the Hay Loft during hay season.
  • Stacking Feed Bags in the storage area.
  • Check fencing for damage during each shift.
  • Repair broken fencing.
  • Must have a professional attitude and works well with clients and other employees.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Farm Manager.
