Responsibilities Perform routine greenhouse maintenance including planting, watering, and fertilizing plants. Identify and manage plant species, ensuring proper care based on their specific needs. Operate hand tools and equipment for planting, pruning, and harvesting tasks. Assist in the irrigation of plants, ensuring optimal moisture levels are maintained. Conduct regular inspections of plants for signs of disease or pests and take appropriate action as needed. Engage in heavy lifting tasks associated with moving soil, plants, and materials within the greenhouse. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the greenhouse environment to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and ensure quality standards are met. Experience Familiarity with plant identification is preferred to ensure proper care techniques are applied. Previous experience in greenhouse operations or lawn care is advantageous. Ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions is essential. Basic math skills are necessary for measuring ingredients for soil mixes or fertilizers.
