Job Summary Join our dynamic agricultural team as a Calf Feeder, where you will play a vital role in nurturing and caring for young livestock to ensure healthy growth and development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your animal husbandry skills and mechanical knowledge to maintain optimal conditions for our calves. Your hands-on approach and attention to safety will contribute directly to the success of our farm operations, providing essential care and support for our livestock from early life stages through growth. Responsibilities Feed calves according to established schedules and nutritional guidelines, ensuring proper intake and health maintenance Monitor calf health daily, identifying signs of illness or distress and reporting issues promptly Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and bedding management to promote a clean and safe environment for livestock Operate farm machinery such as tractors, skid steers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently during daily tasks Handle livestock with care during vaccinations, weighings, or movement procedures while adhering to animal handling best practices Support the overall management of livestock by assisting with record keeping, growth tracking, and compliance with safety standards in production Skills Livestock or calf-care experience is preferred Proficiency in operating skid steers, agricultural tractors, power tools, and heavy equipment safely Strong animal care skills with knowledge of livestock handling, animal husbandry, and farm animal management Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions Basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping Knowledge of safety standards in agricultural production to ensure a safe working environment for all team members Dependable and able to work independently Join us as a Calf Feeder if you're passionate about agriculture and animal care!
