Department/Location:
Morrilton, AR \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJBS Live Pork is looking for a talented Live Pork Genetic Multiplier Sow Farm Manager. The Farm Manager is responsible for ensuring the carrying out of daily responsibilities in caring for the welfare of the animals, including feed, water, and management. The Sow Farm Manager directly manages the team of farm employees and ensures they are working effectively and efficiently. This position will coordinate employees into highly effective team members to produce high quality animals in the most productive manner. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJBS offers competitive pay, benefits package, 401K, and bonus opportunities!\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n
Essential Responsibilities:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDevelop daily and weekly work schedules\r\n\tEnsures animals are being cared for daily, including water, feed and management\r\n\tBuilds, leads, and trains successful team members to carry out assigned tasks\r\n\tComplies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)\r\n\tAssists in controlling costs associated with feed, supplies, and labor\r\n\tSets long and short-term targets and goals for breeding and farrowing success\r\n\tMaintains accurate number integrity for record keeping\r\n\tCoordinates and oversees completion of special projects\r\n\tMakes recommendations for operational improvements\r\n\tConducts safety training meetings and ensures employees are working safely\r\n\tPerforms general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment\r\n\tMaintains open line of communication with all team members including upper management\r\n\tComplies with the practices and principles of biosecurity to safeguard the life and health of the animals\r\n\tEnsures welfare of animals\r\n\tAssists with other duties as assigned\r\n\tThe candidate will be required to read, write and speak fluent English, bilingual (English/Spanish) desired. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n
Required Qualifications:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\t5 years sow production experience\r\n\t2 years management experience\r\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office.\r\n\tPrevious related experience in swine production of at least 3 years, including -year people management experience\r\n\tStrong communication and listening skills\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently\r\n\tAbility to effectively lead a team\r\n\tBe a team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethics\r\n\tValid non-expired Driver's License\r\n\tAbility to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment\r\n\tFamiliarity with common swine diseases and medications \r\n\tStrong communication and listening skills\r\n\tThe candidate will be required to read, write, and speak fluent English\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\n\tB.S degree in Agriculture in combination with 5 years sow production management experience. \r\n\tBilingual - Spanish\r\n\tThe applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following?

Local travel - often 60-mile radius.
