JOB TITLE/ASSIGNMENT
Position:
CHSFarm Technician/Supervisor Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience in farming or agricultural settings preferred. Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery Such alternatives to the above qualification as the board may find appropriate and acceptable. Job Goal To support daily farm operations and assist in maintaining Clewiston High School's land laboratory facilities, livestock and machinery. Reports To Agriculture Teacher (CHS)
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Performance Responsibilities Communicate with agriculture teacher regarding daily assignments Maintain and operate farm machinery and equipment. Maintain and operate irrigation systems. Mowing and maintaining pasture areas. Caring for and keeping records of livestock and maintenance. Constructing and maintaining livestock and security fence Minor equipment repairs Purchasing adequate supplies for maintaining farming operations Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor, the Superintendent, or the board.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to actively perform work in classroom, office, and other business and community settings. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (typically involving frequent standing, climbing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling and lifting to complete assigned tasks). Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to weather conditions. Ability to travel outside the district for a variety of meetings and conferences.

Pay Grade:
71 Salary and Benefits as determined and approved annually by Hendry County School Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board Policies for evaluation of administrative personnel.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
Conditions for continued employment if applicable: Must be able to understand and carry out daily farm maintenance tasks coordinated with the Agriscience teacher. Tasks will vary according to farm needs and external conditions. Daily tasks are also subject to change as directed by the Agriscience Teacher. This position will be expected to communicate effectively for directions and clarification as needed. ______________________________________________________________________________
