Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Conducting site visits, helping producers select property-specific BMPs, identifying cost-share opportunities, and teaching mandatory nutrient and irrigation record-keeping. Planning and speaking at workshops, agricultural field days, and agency meetings (NRCS, Water Management Districts); educating both producers and partner agency staff on water policy and regulatory rules. Working with Extension agents to design region-specific educational programs, promoting economically sound agricultural recommendations, and identifying local farms for research and demonstration projects. Administrative duties. Incumbent is responsible for purchasing needed supplies and materials for educational programs, following UF guidelines and policies regarding purchasing. Other duties as assigned.

$64,746.00 REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires regular interactions with the public, agricultural producers and professionals, UF/IFAS faculty and staff, and local officials. This position involves oral presentations to clients.
PREFERRED
Incumbent must have good knowledge of the agriculture industry, good interpersonal skills and be able to work independently, and be able to travel in support of education and outreach efforts. The successful candidate must be professional, organized, possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be established in the community. Knowledge and experience with computer technology and programs are preferred. This position requires regular interactions with the public, agricultural producers and professionals, UF/IFAS faculty and staff, and local officials. This position involves oral presentations to clients.
