Allen Farms is seeking a dependable, motivated Farm & Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation and care of our approximately 1,700-acre family farm and recreational property near Barry, Illinois. Approximately 750 acres are currently in agricultural production, with the remaining acreage managed for conservation, forestry, wildlife habitat, deer hunting, recreation, and family use. This is not simply a hired-hand or equipment-operator position. We are looking for someone who wants a long-term opportunity, enjoys working independently, takes pride in the property they manage, and can become someone the family trusts to handle the farm when they are not there. Responsibilities The Farm & Property Manager will report directly to the property owner and will be responsible for a wide variety of farming, equipment, property-management, and conservation activities, including:

• Operating and maintaining John Deere tractors and farm equipment
• Utilizing John Deere GPS, guidance, mapping, and precision-ag technology
• Assisting with planting, tillage, spraying, harvest, and other seasonal farming operations
• Hauling grain and transporting equipment
• Performing routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
• Keeping equipment, trucks, trailers, shops, and work areas clean and organized
• Mowing lawns, roadsides, trails, and other areas throughout the property
• Checking and maintaining homes, barns, shops, roads, ponds, and other improvements
• Coordinating and meeting contractors, vendors, conservationists, foresters, and other professionals at the property
• Helping implement conservation, forestry, wildlife, food plot, and deer habitat-management plans
• Monitoring the property and identifying maintenance or other issues before they become larger problems
• Preparing the property and homes for family visits
• Handling reasonable property-related requests for the family
• Occasional airport pickups or transportation assistance
• Moving vehicles, equipment, or materials as needed Allen Farms is affiliated with a family-owned construction operation in Florida.

A few times per year, there may be a need to transport equipment, vehicles, or materials between Illinois and Florida using a semi. This is not a major part of the position, but willingness to assist when needed is preferred. Technology & Reporting Although this position operates with considerable independence, we use technology to maintain communication and transparency between the Farm Manager, property owner, and our operations in Florida.

The Farm Manager will:

• Complete a brief daily report through Procore, using the Procore iPhone app
• Document completed work, current projects, property conditions, equipment issues, contractors/vendors, and upcoming needs
• Upload photographs when appropriate
• Use SmartBarrel to scan in and out for time tracking
• Use company-provided technology, GPS systems, and mobile applications as part of normal operations We are not looking to micromanage this position.

These systems allow the Farm Manager to work independently while keeping ownership informed about what is happening on the property. Schedule & Flexibility This is a full-time salaried position, generally based around a 40-hour workweek, but agricultural work does not always fit into a traditional 40-hour schedule. Planting, harvest, weather events, major projects, and other busy periods may require longer days, evenings, or weekends. During slower times of the year, the schedule can be considerably more flexible. Because Allen Farms is also a family recreational property, the Farm Manager must be flexible and willing to adjust their schedule on reasonable short notice when the family is present or planning a trip to the farm. Occasionally, priorities may change or certain items may need to be handled before the family arrives. We believe flexibility should work both ways. Scheduled vacations, time off, appointments, family commitments, and personal matters will be accommodated with reasonable notice whenever possible. We understand that unexpected personal matters also arise. We are looking for someone who will be flexible with us when the farm needs it, and we intend to provide that same flexibility in return.

Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous farming or agricultural experience
• Experience operating John Deere equipment
• Experience with John Deere GPS and precision-ag technology
• CDL strongly preferred
• Experience operating a semi and equipment trailers
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Basic mechanical and equipment-maintenance skills
• Comfortable using an iPhone, mobile apps, GPS systems, tablets, and computers
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Dependable, responsible, trustworthy, and self-motivated
• Willingness to learn and participate in conservation, forestry, wildlife, and habitat-management activities Experience with deer hunting property, food plots, wildlife habitat, forestry, or conservation programs is a plus.
