Duties Lead and supervise the retail team, providing training, coaching, and motivation to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations Oversee inventory management, including stock ordering, purchasing, merchandising, and stock replenishment to maintain optimal product availability Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional displays to attract customers and increase sales Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and ongoing staff development to build a competent retail team Monitor operational processes such as bookkeeping, payroll administration, budgeting, and inventory control to ensure efficiency and accuracy Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and fostering positive community relationships Requirements Proven management experience in retail environments Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, inventory management systems (POS), and operational procedures Experience with employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development programs Familiarity with grocery store or farm market operations including merchandising, stocking, shift management, and customer service excellence Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork; experience supervising staff in a fast-paced retail setting is essential Knowledge of POS systems, delivery ordering vendors and operational management tools Join us as our Farm Market Retail Manager and lead a vibrant team dedicated to delivering fresh local products while creating memorable shopping experiences for our community.
