Farm ManagerStarting Salary Range 85-95k Year-Round Full-Time Immediate start preferred, targeting a November/December 2026 start date for maximum overlap with current manager All One One All (AOOA) is seeking an experienced, passionate, and organized Farm Manager to steward and grow our nonprofit regenerative silvopasture farm in New York's Mid-Hudson Valley. This is a senior leadership role for someone with experience in orchard systems, small-scale intensive market gardening, and deep interest in true farm-to-table. We are looking for a skilled farmer and leader who wants to care for a resilient landscape, continue building and managing a dynamic agricultural team, and build meaningful community around good food and good ag. About AOOA All One One All (AOOA) is a 14-acre nonprofit regenerative silvopasture farm, farm stand, education center, and distillery inspired by The Three Musketeers' motto: "All for one, one for all." Our mission is to AOOA's mission is to promote responsible agricultural and culinary practices as transformative tools for personal well-being, community prosperity, and global sustainability. Entering our seventh season, we grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruits, and nuts for our farm stand, kitchen, and distillery, while hosting educational programs, and community gatherings that showcase what a farm as a community and ecosystem support tool can be in practice.

~1 acre of market garden including 2 high tunnels U-pick and cut flower program 9 acres of orchard and fodder trees 400 laying hens 26 Karakul sheep Perennial gardens A strong volunteer and grow-to-donate program Position Overview The Farm Manager is responsible for the overall management, development, and long-term vision of AOOA's agricultural operations. This role combines hands-on farming with leadership, planning, reporting, and collaboration across teams. The Farm Manager oversees all production systems—including orchards, silvopasture, livestock, market gardens (produce, flowers and herbs) and perennial garden —while building and managing an agricultural team, coordinating with the farm stand kitchen and distillery, and advancing AOOA's educational and community programming. Compensation, Benefits and Schedule Starting salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 (commensurate with experience) Paid vacation days increases with length of service: 0-2 years 5 days, 3-4 years 10 days, 5 years and beyond 15 days 10 paid federal holidays 5 NY State paid sick days Employee-sponsored health insurance with $250/month AOOA contribution Non-matching 401(k) Open season (April-November): Typically Tuesday-Saturday, with weekend and extended hours as needed based on weather and workload Off-season (December-March): Highly flexible schedule

Hours:

Winter ~30-40 hours/week, Spring-Fall ~40-60 hours/week Key ResponsibilitiesFarm Leadership & Operations Farm Leadership & Operations Build, develop, and manage the agricultural team (Assistant Manager, 2-4 full-time seasonal staff, and 1-3 interns) Work with the Director to establish annual farm goals, budgets, and long-term vision Market Garden Create and execute a crop plan that reflects the needs of the kitchen, farmstand, distillery, CSA and donation program Manage availability, ordering and weekly harvests for all outlets Oversee planting, cultivation, irrigation, fertility, pruning, trellising, holistic pest and disease management, and propagation Manage seed and supply orders Keep accurate records for harvest yields, sales, planting dates and field maps Orchard Manage seasonal work lists and timelines Work with the Farm Director on annual transplant plans and plant purchases Oversee planting, ground prep, mulching, pruning, trellising, pest and disease management and harvests Keep accurate records for important metrics such as harvest yields and pest/disease interventions Review orchard tracking spreadsheet and record sets annually for accuracy Livestock Manage sheep and laying hens in a rotational grazing system that prioritizes both animal and orchard/pasture health Maintain accurate grazing map, animal care and harvest yield records Manage all livestock related supply orders such as feed, bedding, minerals, medical supplies, etc. Maintain and work to improve livestock related infrastructure such as fencing, chicken trailers, stables, electric fencing and feed storage Flowers and Perennial Gardens Plan, execute and manage u-pick and cut flower programs Maintain perennial gardens as spaces of beauty, productivity and habitat Manage planting, maintenance and harvests of perennial herb blocks Infrastructure, Equipment & Land Stewardship Maintain farm facilities, grounds, and equipment (tractors, utv, mowers, irrigation, wash pack, prop house, stables, fences, walk-in cooler, high tunnels…) Identify infrastructure needs and collaborate with staff on implementation Maintain wildflower meadows, beneficial habitat, and conservation biocontrol strategies Ensure farm safety, functionality, and welcoming appearance for team and the public Education, Community & Outreach Manage interns and volunteers; create clear tasks and safe workflows for a range of abilities Lead farm tours, workshops, and regular volunteer programs Support and expand educational programming and community events Support the development and management of partnerships with local organizations, schools, SUNY programs, BOCES, food access groups, and neighbors Participate in pursuing and executing relevant grants and research opportunities Big Picture Steward and develop regenerative and sustainable growing practices across the farm Set and meet production goals for high quality farm products Track data and provide reports to the Director and AOOA team Analyze operations, crops, and budgets to improve efficiency and resilience Propose and help develop new initiatives that advance AOOA's mission Foster a culture of safety, learning, empowerment, and continuous improvement Who You Are Required Experience & Skills Minimum 10 years of sustainable/holistic production farming experience Strong background in market gardening and/or orchard management Sheep and hen management is a plus Proven 10+ years management and leadership experience Experience balancing physical farm work with planning, administration, and budgeting 5+ years of community-building and educational programming experience Strong understanding of soil health, crop planning, rotation, and ecological principles Comfortable troubleshooting irrigation, equipment, and farm infrastructure Personal Qualities Skilled farmer Skilled and experienced leader guided by fairness and integrity Excellent communicator and team builder Highly organized with strong record-keeping and computer skills Positive, solutions-oriented, and dependable Passionate about regenerative agriculture, education, and community Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, and weekends Intention to work a minimum of three full seasons, looking for a long-term career with us Additional Notes Housing is not provided Farm is not easily accessible by public transit To Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their qualifications and interest in the role to Alix, AOOA Director, at alix@alloneoneall.com.
