Job Description

We are actively seeking a hardworking problem solver to join our live production team in Versailles, Oh as an Assistant Pullet Manager. This position encompasses a role that entails a wide variety of responsibilities. A keen understanding of the anatomy, physiology, and performance of the pullets and egg production in layers play a key role in the daily operations of the position.

Oversee operations in obtaining goals set by management and industry standards in pullet growing. Oversee feed efficiency, egg production and quality, as well as mortality. Monitor and coach team members in all aspects of pullet growing and egg production. Provide feedback on and ensure implementation for quality programs Manage animal husbandry practices, maintenance programs, reporting and employee job training. Make feed recommendations. Manage flock rotations schedules and vaccination programs. Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time. Comply with safety regulations and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Organized and detail oriented. Willing to work off schedule shifts and/or nights when necessary. Strong management, leadership and communication skills with a diverse work force. Must be able to follow all WBI safety and biosecurity standards thoroughly. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once - the ability to deal with stressful situations.
