Job Description

ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. ‌
Responsibilities:
Overall day-to-day operation of the Rhoden Field Laboratory (RFL) Livestock care and management Facility/equipment maintenance and repair Supervise student employees Teaching horses and horsemanship lab Assisting faculty with labs Provide farm oversight support to supervised research projects Pasture and cropland management

Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in Farm or Ranch Management, Animal Science, or a closely related field (required) Experience working with livestock and horses Ability to teach undergraduate lab for Horses and Horsemanship course. Ability to perform ongoing maintenance and repairs for the facility and equipment. Ability to coordinate with faculty to provide classroom needs for activities at the Rhoden Field Lab. Commitment to integrating faith and learning in alignment with the mission of Abilene Christian University Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collegial, student-centered approach
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching and training experience for horses and horsemanship Work experience on a farm or ranch Understanding of diverse ranch and farm operations
