KETTERMAN RANCH
- Ranch Manager (On-Site)
Location:
Burnet, Texas Ketterman Ranch is a private, high-end ranch property in the Hill Country. We maintain beautiful land, wildlife, lodges, equipment, and guest areas with pride and high standards. We are looking for a full-time Ranch Manager to help lead day-to-day operations and keep the property running smoothly and professionally.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Ranch Manager is responsible for the daily upkeep, maintenance, and readiness of the ranch. This includes overseeing staff and contractors, caring for wildlife and land, managing equipment, and ensuring the property is always in top shape for the owners and guests. This is a hands-on role for someone dependable, hardworking, and organized.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee daily ranch operations and help manage staff and contractors Maintain pastures, roads, fences, and ranch infrastructure Care for wildlife, feed programs, and compliance needs Maintain and operate ranch equipment, vehicles, and tools Keep lodges and buildings clean, functional, and guest-ready Assist with repairs, projects, and improvements Track inventory, budgets, and schedules as needed Communicate clearly with ownership and report issues promptly Update, maintain, and organize a comprehensive property manual detailing systems, procedures, contacts, schedules, and standards
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years ranch, farm, or hunting ranch experience Strong mechanical ability Comfortable overseeing workers and vendors Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Able to use basic ranch software/apps Able to live on-site and respond as needed
Preferred:
Wildlife ranch experience Heavy equipment or CDL Hospitality experience Military or similar leadership background
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$65,000-$85,000 DOE Annual performance bonus Paid time off Long-term growth opportunity
