A Farm or Ranch Manager manages operations at a farm or ranch. Directs crop production and management of livestock herds and supervises farm workers who grow and harvest crops or tend to farm animals. Purchases supplies such as seed, fertilizer or animal feed, operates and repairs farm equipment, and maintains facilities. Monitors prices and adapts production as needed due to market changes, weather conditions or other factors.

Job Description

Team player needed for a growing poultry farm and processing facility. This position works in the field taking care of our chickens raised on pasture. This position is responsible for overseeing the health, growth, and operational efficiency of poultry flocks . This position is also responsible for Training and managing field personnel and their schedule. Experience a plus, but will train. What is needed is a good attitude, attention to detail, pride in your work, and eagerness to learn. Valid Drivers License is a PLUS. This position is a rotating Monday-Sunday position with some days starting at 5am, some days starting at 7am, alternating weekends. Extreme weather may necessitate additional hours. Spanish speaking ok with some English preferred. Bilingual is a plus!
Duties Include:
Feeding/watering chicks and broilers Cleaning coops, brooder, and other equipment as needed Field personnel schedule and management Quality assurance of field operation Movement of chickens in and between brooder, field and processing plant Maintaining field equipment General field and plant assistance Benefits include paid major holidays, paid vacation after one year, and discounts on pasture raised chicken.
