Job Description

Hama Hama is looking for a Farm Store Manager! For more than 50 years, the Hama Hama Farm Store has welcomed locals, travelers, chefs, and oyster lovers from around the world. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on manager—someone who enjoys working alongside their team, loves creating memorable customer experiences, and takes pride in keeping a retail operation organized, profitable, and fun. As Farm Store Manager, you'll oversee the daily operation of our flagship retail store, leading a small team while ensuring customers find the freshest seafood, thoughtfully selected products, and friendly, knowledgeable service every time they visit. This is an active management role. You'll spend time on the sales floor working with customers, coaching staff, merchandising products, managing inventory, and making day-to-day operational decisions that keep the store running smoothly. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop the Farm Store team. Schedule staff, provide performance feedback, and support hiring and onboarding. Create an outstanding customer experience by maintaining high standards for hospitality, merchandising, cleanliness, and organization. Purchase and manage inventory, including branded merchandise, working within established budgets. Develop attractive product displays and seasonal merchandising plans. Monitor inventory levels, receiving, and vendor relationships. Help achieve sales, gross margin, and labor goals. Review sales trends and recommend new products and merchandising opportunities. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and retail regulations. Collaborate with our Marketing, Online Store, Oyster Saloon, Culinary, and Shellstock teams to create a seamless customer experience across the Company. Jump into daily operations wherever needed—including helping customers, stocking shelves, receiving deliveries, answering phones and emails, and supporting busy weekends. We're Looking For Someone Who Has previous retail, hospitality, or customer service management experience. Enjoys leading, coaching, and developing employees. Is organized, dependable, and comfortable balancing office work with hands-on retail operations. Has experience with inventory management, merchandising, or purchasing. Communicates professionally with customers, coworkers, and vendors. Is comfortable using Google Workspace and common retail software; is a self-starter who enjoys finding sensible solutions to tech issues. Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience in specialty food, agriculture, or seafood is especially valuable but not required.
