Full Job Description General Responsibilities:

As the Department Manager II, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of Terracon's geophysics division. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and guide the Group and Department Managers, ensuring a cohesive and productive work environment. Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage and mentor Group and Department Managers, providing leadership and support for effective team management. Oversee project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the geophysics division's performance and market presence. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, encouraging professional growth within the team. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining Terracon's reputation for excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align efforts and achieve organizational goals and objectives. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and mentor team members for growth. Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance skills. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, keeping the team at the forefront of geophysics technology. Represent Terracon at industry events, building relationships, and networking to expand our reach.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong academic background. Minimum of 8 years of experience in geophysics, demonstrating a proven track record of leadership and success. In-depth knowledge of geophysical principles and techniques, with the ability to apply them effectively. Exceptional project management skills, with a proven ability to lead and deliver complex projects. Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and teamwork. Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in geophysics, staying updated with the latest advancements. Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, able to identify and address challenges proactively. Willingness to travel for project management and client engagement, as required by the role.
