Job Description

Temporary CPWI Director (Part-Time)
  • White Salmon, WA.
We're hiring a Temporary Community Prevention & Wellness Initiative (CPWI) Director to support prevention, wellness, and community outreach efforts in Klickitat County. This part-time, hybrid role (20-29 hours/week, July 2026-January 2027) focuses on coordinating meetings, supporting local coalitions, engaging with families and youth programs, and helping lead community-based prevention activities and events. The position includes collaboration with partners, outreach at local events, and basic data reporting, along with a few required trainings and occasional travel (including a statewide Prevention Summit).     (3rd Mon of month at 9:30-11), Zoom
  • Our Klickitat Prevention Coalition Mtg (3rd Thurs, 3:05-4)
  • Columbia Gorge Perinatal Mental Health Initiative (PMHI) Quarterly Task Force Mtg (Sept & Dec)
  • WFA National meetings (3rd Thurs of month, 11-12:30), Zoom
  • WFA Core Team Planning Meetings (1st Wed of month, 1-2) usually Zoom
  • WFA All Team Group Planning Mtg:
    (Sept 9 & Dec 10, 12-2) at the Hub
  • HCA Prevention Systems Manager 1:1
Meetings:
(2nd Tues, 2:05-3), Zoom
  • HCA Provider Meetings, as scheduled
  • Prevention Professional mtg with Joanna, Sunday, & Sheila, as scheduled
  • Attend Community Roots Wellness Hub Leadership meetings, as needed
  • Attend Community Roots Wellness Hub All Staff meetings, as scheduled
  • Attend other relevant community meetings, as needed (Such as Klickitat/Skamania LPA Meeting) Outreach
  • Represent WAGAP/K-Link Collaborative through tabling at local community events (including White Salmon Farmers' Market)
  • Promote Starts with One Campaign, Friends for Life Campaign, Start Talking Now Campaign, 2026 CPWI Community Survey, & info on prevention programs/workshops with WAGAP and/or K-Link Collaborative
  • Assist with potential Key Leader Event (may be Better Together Summit) (usually in Oct/Nov)
  • Support Parent Educators with Parents as Teachers program
  • Support Youth Center Staff with Positive Action program
  • Support school staff with school policy review regarding youth substance misuse
  • Assist with prevention club(s) at middle or high school, alongside Student Assistance Professional, as needed.
  • Assist with the parent group(s) at the Community Roots Wellness Hub, alongside the Columbia Gorge Perinatal Mental Health Initiative (PMHI), as needed.
  • Assist with parent and family workshops/events, as a part of Parents as Teachers, Whole Family Approach, or
WAGAP/PMHI
partnership, as needed.
  • Assist with Community Roots Wellness Hub special events, as needed.
  • Support grief circle in White Salmon in Fall 2026 (as a part of the Klickitat County Opioid Settlement Funds, in partnership with SWACH), as needed.
  • Participate alongside SWACH's Overdose Response Initiative, as needed. Data/Reporting
  • Input Minerva data by the 15th of each month (Reflecting the prior month)
  • Complete Minerva quarterly report by Oct 15 (Reflecting prior 3 months)
  • Ensure K-Link members complete Coalition Assessment Tool (CAT) Survey in October
  • Ensure PAT National Annual Reporting is completed by Sept 30.
  • Complete other grant reporting as needed (SWACH, Wellpoint, WFA)
Pay:
From $33.10 per hour
