The TES Fin Clips Technician will assist the AL DCNR team in field sampling and the collection of fish fin clips for a large-scale metabarcoding reference library project. Sampling days will be long and may require extended overnight stays. Sampling events will shift at short notice depending on weather conditions. The position will require work in various water systems under various weather conditions. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Traveling with the AL DCNR to various sample sites to collect fish fin clips. Correctly identifying fish to the species level (when possible). Managing records of museum voucher numbers for fish. Updating the master Excel file.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Extremely flexible with working hours Highly dependable with a strong work ethic.
Pay Range:
USD $15.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.
