08/03/2026 to 11/06/2026 About the position The Eagle Fish Health Laboratory in Eagle, Idaho is accepting applications for a Fisheries Biological Aide. This is a full-time, three-month temporary position starting August 3rd and ending November 6th. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Experience following oral and written instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Some knowledge of life history, anatomy, and ecology of various fish and wildlife species.
  • Previous field or laboratory experience is desirable.
Responsibilities Primary responsibilities for this position will include fish tissue sample processing in the laboratory. This will entail operating and maintaining laboratory equipment including centrifuges, autoclaves, dishwashers, balances, and pipettes; washing/sterilizing glassware; preparing reagents and media; processing tissue samples for pathogen testing and other laboratory duties as assigned. Incumbents may also assist with sample collection from Chinook and/or Sockeye Salmon during spawning, requiring some travel and work in outdoor environments.
