Job Description

Spat Tech is an oyster hatchery located in Perkinston, Mississippi. At Spat Tech our main goal is coastal restoration. We raise larvae to a settable size, and set at our setting facility. We then deploy these set oysters to the Gulf of Mexico where they will live out the rest of their days and filter the Gulf! We are a small company of 23 employees and looking to grow. We are looking for someone to grow with our company while working with oyster broodstock. We currently produce roughly 1.5B oysters a year, but would like to improve on that. The duties include, but are not limited to, oyster husbandry, oyster intake, making salt water, adjusting daily feed and water flows, and general housekeeping. A bachelor's in marine science, or biology preferred but not essential.
