DEPARTMENT

: Hatchery

JOB SUMMARY

The Hatchery Technician I will assist in general operational activities at the various Hatchery facilities and will perform job duties and responsibilities per established facility bio-security and safety protocols, fish rearing and fish health best practices, facility operational guidelines and workplace policies; and performs duties as they relate to U.S. v Washington and to the harvesting, processing, or transporting fish harvested in the exercise of treaty fishing rights.

COMPENSATION

$20.00hr.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Vocational training related to maintenance and/or Hatchery related operations preferred

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE

Experience working in a maintenance field preferred. Experience working in a fish hatchery or fisheries related environment preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES WA

State Driver License. Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations. (Abstract Required) Must complete an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
