Locums About the Facility This approximately 100-bed facility provides general surgery services across operating room and emergency room settings, with established protocols to support call-based surgical coverage. The facility operates on an on-site basis and maintains the clinical infrastructure necessary to support both routine and emergent surgical care delivery. APP support is available within the general surgery service line to assist with day-to-day clinical operations. About the Facility Location Florida offers a range of outdoor and water-based activities suited to varied interests, including snorkeling tours, catamaran cruises, dolphin encounters, and Everglades airboat tours. The state is also home to the National Museum of Naval Aviation, which features over 180 vintage aircraft and offers free admission. Arts, entertainment, and farmers markets are available across various communities throughout the state, providing clinicians on assignment with diverse options during time away from clinical responsibilities. About the Clinician's Workday The clinician will provide general surgery call coverage on 24-hour shifts across operating room and emergency room settings at an on-site facility in Florida, with coverage required 2 weeks per month beginning as soon as possible. Primary responsibilities include performing general surgery procedures and maintaining continuous availability for both scheduled and emergent surgical needs throughout each assigned call period. The service line census ranges from 10-20 patients per day, and APP support is available to assist with clinical operations. Call coverage is required, and board certification in General Surgery is mandatory for this locum tenens assignment.
