Job Description

is seeking an Otolaryngology Nurse Practitioner for locum coverage in a Florida clinic and OR. In this role, you will evaluate and manage ENT patients, perform focused exams, order and interpret tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans. You'll assist surgeons in the OR, support pre- and post-operative care, and collaborate closely with physicians and staff. Ideal candidates are adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care in dynamic settings. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive otolaryngology-focused assessments and manage acute and chronic ENT conditions in clinic and OR settings Perform exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans Assist surgeons in the OR, including pre-op evaluations and post-op follow-up care Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate safe, high-quality patient care Document encounters accurately in the EMR and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care Adapt quickly to new clinical environments and workflows as a locum tenens provider Required Skills Otolaryngology/ENT clinical assessment Pre- and post-operative patient management Assisting in ENT surgical procedures Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests Advanced health assessment and differential diagnosis Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Clinical decision-making and care planning Interdisciplinary care coordination Infection control and OR safety protocols
