Job Description

Job description: Manage Dalton Township transfer stations operations including but not limited to: giving prices and accepting payments, calling bin removal vendor when bins are full to have emptied/replaced, keep the parking lot and grounds free of debris and other hazards, ensure residents are utilizing the correct transfer bins and materials in the hopper.
Additional needed skills:
Ability to maintain a correct money drawer, giving correct change, maintaining cash drawer and transaction records. Good communication skills and patience when explaining pricing, use of bins and redirecting residents as needed. Communicating expectations in a polite and professional manner, while addressing any concerns or frustrations that a resident may have regarding, pricing, materials, or other related issues. The transfer station is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from April 1st through October 31st, and Saturdays only from November 1st through March 31st hours of operation are 8am to 4pm. Estimated hours worked in a week range from 9 -18 hours based on the season. Compensation is 20 dollars per hour. You may apply in person or through the indeed posting.
