What you'll do : Business & customer strategy Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager and AG Advisors to develop market plans for new and existing customers; stay current on new agronomy products Recommend strategic operational goals by gathering business, financial, service, and operations data; define objectives, implement plans, and evaluate outcomes Enforce customer service standards; analyze and resolve complaints; promote improved products and expanded services in the trade territory Facility & equipment oversight Manage and maintain proper working condition of vehicles, machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds Ensure equipment is cleaned regularly to prolong safe operation and promote a positive company image May perform general vehicle, machinery, and equipment maintenance and repairs Follow all company safety standards and comply with OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations Chemical plant Manage inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and stocking Manage day-to-day operations and supervise Operations Specialists or Custom Applicators assigned to the plant Monitor for chemical leaks or spills and manage cleanup and proper disposal Act as backup to prepare chemical mixes for producers when needed Anhydrous ammonia station Monitor for leaks or spillage and manage cleanup and disposal; contact emergency management when directed by the Regional Manager Act as backup to complete anhydrous ammonia preparation and transfer for producers What we are looking for : Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and agricultural experience Knowledge of operational management, business management, accounting, budgeting, project management, and quality management Strong judgment, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Proven mentoring and coaching ability; able to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Basic math skills including proportions, percentages, and volume; able to prepare and interpret spreadsheets and graphs Ability to safely operate company vehicles, machinery, and equipment Valid operator's license and forklift certification required; CDL Class A with HazMat and Tanker endorsements preferred or obtainable within 60 days Why join us?
