Job Description
BaySide Shellfish Company in Stone Harbor, NJ is seeking qualified individuals to join our bay work team. You'll spend your workday out in the bay harvesting clams as part of a small crew. Harvesting involves wading in shallow water (knee to thigh depth depending on tide) and using a rake to collect clams from the bay bottom. Clams are gathered into bushel baskets and loaded onto the boat as you go. When the day's harvest is complete, the team unloads and assists with rinsing/handling and preparing clams for market. Looking to Hire ASAP Salary/Hourly Rate Will Be Based Upon Experience Duties include but not limited to: General Harvesting as explained above Daily farm maintenance Grading and bagging of clams for sale Routine maintenance and cleaning of farming equipment (boats, pumps, hoists, etc.) Grading and sorting of clam seed
