Description:
Work Location:
In-person role based in Windham, NY.
Seasonal Position:
This role is available for the winter season.
Pay:
18.50 per hour
Anticipated Start Dates:
Weather-dependent, typically beginning the second week of December.
Scheduling Expectations:
Part Time shifts on weekends and holidays are needed.
Conditions:
This physically demanding role requires working outdoors on steep, snowy terrain in all weather conditions.
Position Summary:
Tubing Park Operators are responsible for daily operation and customer relations at the Tubing Park. They assist guests participating in the use of the tubing lanes, maintaining a safe and fun environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain tubing lanes and remain alert to changing snow conditions. Handle and maintain tube inventory. Keep storage area neat and orderly. Direct customers to appropriate tubing lanes and provide clear instructions. Maintain control of tubing starts (no starts until lane is clear at bottom.) Organize group tubing in efficient and safe manner. Ensure all supplies and equipment are properly utilized. Keep work areas clean and tidy, including trash pickup and removal. Report all potential hazards to supervisors. Assist in the operation of any assigned section of the Tubing Park. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhering to dress code at all times.
Qualifications:
Experience in a guest service or hospitality role preferred. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and team members in a helpful and friendly manner. Must be able to remain calm and focused in stressful, noisy, crowded, and distracting situations. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to regularly and consistently lift up to 30 pounds Must be able to safely walk, climb, and navigate uneven terrain with snow and ice-covered hills and surfaces Must be able to work up to 8 hours per day in any outdoor winter weather conditions Ability to push, pull, stoop, kneel, and reach frequently
