Job Description
Perioperative Attendant II
- Lorain Hospital Shift/Schedule Part Time
- Scheduled for 40 Hours per week Shift Times
- Days/Afternoons (1st Shift) No weekend, holiday, or on call availability is required Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Perioperative Attendant II is responsible for assisting the clinical staff by performing a variety of support functions that facilitate the delivery of surgical/procedural services to the patient working under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization.
- May be required to use physical restraints. May be exposed to human blood and other potentially infectious materials.
- May be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse May be exposed to adverse weather conditions; cold, hot, dust , wind, etc. May have periods of constant interruptions Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions
- Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control.
