Tre-Fin is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Farmers Market Salesperson to represent our company at local farmers markets. This position is responsible for setting up and operating our market booth, selling Tre-Fin seafood products, providing excellent customer service, and helping grow our direct-to-consumer sales.

The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in representing a local seafood business, and is comfortable working independently in a busy outdoor market environment. A strong interest in local seafood, food, and the Peninsula community is a plus.

Responsibilities:

You love food and are comfortable talking to customers about our seafood and what makes it different. We'll give you tasting notes to help sell our products. You must have your own reliable vehicle capable of carrying farmers market gear (a canopy, multiple coolers full of frozen fish, a 6-ft. table, and the rest of the equipment that make up a farmers market stand). Typically any van, wagon, SUV, or hatchback will do. Shifts involve loading up the gear in the morning and dropping everything off at the end of the day at the inventory location. We reimburse for gas mileage between the market location and the warehouse where inventory is stored.

Smartphone required for running credit card transactions. Salesperson handles cash transactions as well and completes inventory forms. You are comfortable handling credit card transactions, counting cash, and completing inventory paperwork at the end of a market day.

Able to lift 50 pound coolers, stand for up to 5 hours at a time.

Available every Sunday during the summer market season (May-November) and the first and third Sundays during the winter market season (December-April). Hours are Sundays, roughly 8am-2pm, rain or shine.

Compensation is a flat rate with 10% commission on sales over $500. We pay mileage.
