Summary/Objective:
As a valued member of our team, the Scalehouse Weighmaster will be reporting to the shift supervisor to ensure daily, efficient operation of the plant. You will perform minor repairs and maintenance to ensure continued plant operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
No Essential Functions:
Fabricate new or replacement parts for dump trucks, trailers, and wheel wash unit. Major duties include maintaining computerized records of material amounts, truck identities and issuance of weigh certificates in compliance with county and stated regulations. Taking orders and dispatching aggregate deliveries Issue sand/gravel weight certificates and scrap metal weigh certificates Maintain record of current license numbers and current tare weights of all trucks Interact with County and State inspectors of Dept. of Weight and Measure as well as coordinating any repairs to the scale as requested by Department of Weight and Measure Coordinate with plant manager the staffing of yard personnel during high volume days Monitor scheduled inspections and complete scale reports. Verify account status of customers. Assist credit department by maintaining records that allow reconciliation in the event of discrepancy between customer and accounts payable. Adhere to all rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds. Meet or exceed company safety standards. Perform other maintenance related duties on-site as required by supervisors.
Non-Essential Duties:
Detect safety hazards and malfunctions and respond accordingly. Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
Core Competencies:
Knowledge of plant and other heavy equipment. Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements. Understanding computerized controls and electronics. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are specific to the assigned shift.
Travel Required:
None Minimum Education and Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. Class C Driver s License required. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
