Full Job Description Egan Fruit Packing LLC Job Posting Title:
Citrus Partners in Quality (PIQ) Representative A Fellsmere, Florida based citrus company is seeking a Full-Time Citrus Partners in Quality (PIQ) Representative to work in our Citrus Packinghouse.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Minimum High School Graduate or equivalent. Preferably one or more years' experience working in the Citrus Fruit Industry or Citrus State Inspection. Knowledge of Citrus Inspection Protocols and Citrus Food Safety Regulations. Must be knowledgeable of different citrus fruit varieties. Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures around packinghouse equipment. Requires good administrative skills. Ability to read and write legibly. Attention to details and working with figures. Must have good verbal communication skills. Ability to carry out detailed written, verbal, and demonstrated instructions independently. Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, climb, reach, twist, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical work. Requires repetitive reaching and grasping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspection of each lot of fruit that is processed, per the requirements of the PIQ Manual. Preparation and completion of documents required by the PIQ Program. Maintain the PIQ Manual and ensure that it is up to date. Assists with Food Safety Responsibilities. Performs other duties as needed
Working Conditions:
Works in normal citrus packinghouse production environment, which will include working in a 50 degree cooler. Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, moving forklifts, and fruit processing chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
Salary:
Compensation commensurate with experience.
