A Food or Agricultural Inspector inspects food, processed food and food containers to be sure they are safe for consumers, or inspects animals, animal feed or crops to check for disease that could affect food supplies. Checks for compliance with private industry standards or federal food safety and agricultural regulations.
This position accurately records information for truck deliveries weighing on the scales. This position also provides clerical support as needed to support the plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position accurately records information for truck deliveries weighing on the scales, as well as provides clerical support for Raw Procurement and Finance and other plant support as needed. Accurately record scale tickets, create barcodes, daily load traceability and reconciliation, and interaction with drivers, field representative, and plant. Strict confidentiality must be maintained for all grower information.
Clerical support:
Maintain GAP and chemical records, answer phones, direct truck traffic, etc. Reporting and data entry as directed by the raw material accounting supervisor, good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Maintain order and housekeeping of scales and scale house. Ideal Candidate Qualifications Reliable with excellent customer service skills. Motivation to grow within the company. Good computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Good m athematical skills. Ability to read and write in English; bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Education and Experience High School Diploma. One year or more of experience in similar fields.
