  • Day Shift hours 6am-4pm
  • 2nd Shift hours 4pm -2am
  • The Line Inspector is responsible for assisting in the inspection of customer products for contaminants according to established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities Prepares inspection line/equipment for daily operation per company standards. Unstacks products from pallets and loads them on conveyors. Monitors x-ray screens to detect foreign material in various products. Starts and stops the inspection line/equipment to retrieve products containing foreign material. Removes and replaces packaged products in designated cases per instructions. Unloads products from conveyors and restacks products on pallets in a stable and organized manner. Seals boxes with adhesive tape or other sealing materials to close boxes securely. May place labels on boxes based on projects. Secures items on pallets by suing stretch wrap, shrink wrap, or other similar materials. Cleans and sanitizes workstation, surfaces, and equipment as instructed. Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) as well as Health and Safety protocols. Informs the supervisor or other designated staff of any product or process deficiencies. Performs other duties as assigned by Plant Management.

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, twist, grab, pull, push, reach. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to identify test contaminant particles (seeds) in x-ray monitors.

We can detect most foreign material down to 0.8 mm or smaller and test for metal, bone, rubber, plastic, gasket material, stones, glass, wood and other foreign material. Foreign material contamination is a prevalent risk—one of the top three leading causes of food recalls in the United States—and if you aren't planning accordingly, it'll quickly turn into an issue that can impact your ability to meet customer needs and production quotas, place a strain on current raw ingredients supply and create a range of other issues. We use customized processes and state-of-the-art X-ray technology to find foreign material contaminants in food, beverage and lifestyle products. The types of contaminants we're able to find include Metal, Glass Particle, Stone, Bone, Plastic, Rubber Casket Material, Wood, and more.
