YEAR GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to ensure the Central Production Facility maintains quality and safety of all food production processes. This position ensures that products meet established standards and regulatory requirements while minimizing risks and enhancing operational efficiency. This position will lead a team, conduct inspections, manage compliance with food safety regulations, and drive continuous improvement efforts within the production process.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows established Central Production Facility policies and procedures Implement and maintain quality control systems for all food production processes, ensuring products meet company standards and regulatory guidelines Oversee product testing, including sensory evaluation, microbiological testing, and nutritional analysis Monitor the quality of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials to ensure they meet specifications Conduct inspections and audits of production lines to identify and address potential quality issues Ensure that production complies with all applicable food safety regulations Foster a culture of quality and safety awareness across the production team Implement training programs regarding quality standards, food safety, and regulatory compliance Work collaboratively with production, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse teams to address and resolve quality concerns Investigate and resolve production quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Lead corrective and preventive actions and ensure proper documentation and follow-through Work closely with food production team to streamline processes and ensure product consistency Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and audits Prepare detailed reports on quality performance, including analysis of product defects, waste, and trends Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing product quality Participate in product development meetings and provide input on new product formulations, processes, and packaging to ensure quality standards are met from the start PCQI certified Train new associates of Harmons food safety program Lead contact for inspections and third party audits Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement; assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc. Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner Sets a professional and positive example to others Assists as needed to ensure the success of the Central Production Facility as a wholeMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities: A high school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's or master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or related field highly preferred; 5 years of food production, quality assurance, or other retail experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Basic math skills Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in quality control tools and software Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards Experience with HACCP, GMP, ISO, SQF, or other food safety certification systems Ability to interpret policies and procedures Excellent organization and planning skills Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage diverse groups of people Ability to appropriately and professionally handle conflict Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one's own success as well as the success of your team Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons' mission and commitment to working collaboratively Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused, and consistent Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidaysPHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS
