ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Inspect house conditions.
  • Observe overall health of flock.
  • Inspect feed quality and quantity.
  • Inspect water quality and quantity.
  • Inspect air quality and ventilation settings.
  • Inspect litter conditions.
  • Verify male feeder down time.
  • Verify egg room temperature, and egg quality.
  • Track flock health and activity.
  • Track and analyze hen productivity.
  • Track hatchability and mortality percentages.
  • Make recommendations to grower to improve any/all of the above.
  • Verify animal welfare programs are being followed.
  • Verify biosecurity programs are being followed.
  • Verify all other company programs are being followed.
  • Advise farmers and assist in producing quality poultry products.
  • Coordinate and/or handle movement of pullets.
  • Perform field vaccinations and/or administer medication.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 1.
Required
  • High school diploma
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Task management skills
  • Flexible hours 2. Preferred
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to adapt and react quickly to changes
  • Able to follow instructions and work independently
