  • Overview
  • The undergraduate student will assist the College of Forestry & Wildlife Environment property managers with projects on Auburn University land in the Lee County area.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Cruise timber and collect forest inventory data.
+ Mark boundary lines and assist with field data collection. + Enter and manage field and project data. + Support forest road maintenance and weed control efforts. + Assist with prescribed fire operations. + Participate in invasive species management activities. + Help maintain AU forest lands and general property upkeep. + Travel to properties such as MOT and Crooked Oaks to help host events and tours. + Clean and organize facilities including the MOT pavilion, forestry tool shed, and forest products storage shed.
  • Qualifications
  • + Enrolled student at Auburn University. + Ability to work independently + Tree ID knowledge + Knowledge of operating farm equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, bush-hogs, drip torches + knowledge of timber cruising
