DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Prunes trees to shape, promote health, and control size; Removes dead or fallen trees and branches; Grinds/removes stumps; Plant and inspects trees, reporting unsafe or hazardous conditions; Removes, replaces, or adjusts tree stakes and ties; Applies fertilizers, pesticides/herbicides when necessary. - Mow and edge turf by hand or by use of power tools; Turf repair/renovation, including seeding, sodding, aeration, and dethatching; Applies fertilizers, pesticides/herbicides when necessary. Irrigation maintenance
- Manage, modify, and troubleshoot automatic irrigation systems; Make minor repairs such as replace broken heads/nozzles, repair broken lines, and valves; Hand water where necessary.
- Maintain curbs, railings, fences, signs/posts, sidewalks/interlocking pavers, site furnishings, shuttle stops, and outdoor art work.
Maintenance includes:
hand and power washing, graffiti removal, hand and power sanding, staining, waxing, patching, and leveling.
