Responsibilities Assist in ecological restoration projects by removing invasive plants, and managing habitat quality Operate hand tools, power tools such as chainsaws, pruners, and ground maintenance equipment safely and effectively Use GPS devices and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology for data collection, site mapping, and project documentation Apply pesticides and herbicides following safety protocols to control invasive species and protect native flora Perform heavy lifting and physical labor required for project success Qualifications Prior experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or ecological restoration preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidate Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions; physically capable of heavy lifting and strenuous activity Must have transportation
