Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
A harvesting technician provides support and assistance to the harvesting forester. In addition, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management of logging contractors to ensure timber harvests are conducted safely and meet the specifications outlined in the harvest plan, and other duties as required. GIS collection, reporting, and maintenance of management data, logging supervision & timber cruising
FSC & SFI
compliance, auditing, and supervising various forestry activities for contract compliance Assistance in the acquisition of time timber and vendor acquisitions Attend police jury meetings
Job Experience:
Attention to detail, creative thinking, and communication skills are vital for success in this role.
Required:
High school diploma and forestry training at a vocational college or equivalent experience Outstanding safety record in all aspects of previous employment
Preferred:
Experience in logging supervision & timber cruising The ability to work independently and as a team player
